Travel With a Purpose

Volunteering during a trip abroad allows you to engage in a unique and rewarding experience that can have a lasting impact and really change the way you think, act and approach life in the future. Working with indigenous communities, local communities, environmental concerns and social work are a few of the voluntary projects you can be able to volunteer in Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Nicaragua. Our aim is to design a volunteering and travelling experience, maximizing the time available, ensuring there is interaction with local people, and that the project in which the work is contributed has clear objectives that will benefit a community.

At Voluntary Horizons we strive to ensure participants visit real and not so touristy locations, heading off the beaten track to see real life, learn about the country, take public transport, even live with a local family, discovering a different reality in life.

From 10 days to a month, all itineraries are programmed according to the participants' needs, interests and budget.

Leave the planning to us!

At VOLUNTARY HORIZONS we offer:

  • Service Learning trips - To broaden the mind and “give something back” our service learning trips focus on project work and cultural immersion.
  • Middle / High Schools - Customized middle and high school programs for ages 12-18 year olds.
  • Alternative Spring Break – Combine volunteering, culture and adventure activities to create a spring break trip your students will never forget!
  • Professor-Led Trips – Ideal for professors or teaching staff wishing to give students a hands-on, educational experience with a specific academic focus.
  • Skilled group trips – A program designed for groups with speciality skills who want to apply them and help through volunteering.
  • Family - Volunteer programs designed for you to work together as a family.
  • Faith-Based - For faith-based groups who would like to use a Voluntary Horizons program for service and team building.
